VINEYARDS
The vineyards extend over approximately 15 ectares of land predominantly clay of which 13.5 in production, the others just installed. The climate is moderate, dry; the sun and the ventilation favor the vegetative cycle and the maturation of the grapes.
Every year the harvest is hand picked in crates; human expertise is irreplaceable at Ravazzi Winery.
It takes place entirely in September, October. The vineyards extend over predominantly clay land .
The strong bond with this land in Siena, has led to belief in mainly autochtonous vines of the Siena territory: Sangiovese for the greater part, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Malvasia del Chianti. The desire of the young Ravazzi to experiment, has brought new challenges: in fact among the new grape variety we find in fact Merlot, Sagrantino and Vermentino Bianco. |
